Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This policy explains what information The Graystones collects when you use our website and membership service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account details — your email address, display name, and optional profile photo, stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore).
- Membership and payment information — your subscription tier and billing status. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Content you create — comments, likes, and direct messages you send within the Service.
- Basic usage data — standard analytics such as page views and device type, via Firebase/Google Analytics.
2. How We Use It
- To run the Service: sign you in, deliver tier-gated content, display your comments with your display name and tier badge, and route your direct messages to the band.
- To bill your subscription and send billing-related email (receipts, renewal or cancellation notices, email verification codes).
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
3. Who We Share It With
Only the service providers that make the site work: Stripe (payments), Google Firebase (login, database, analytics), and Cloudflare (media hosting and streaming). Each processes your data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
4. What Other Users See
Your display name, profile photo, comments, and comment likes are visible to other members of the fan feed. Your email address is never shown to other fans. Direct messages are visible only to you and The Graystones.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account from Manage Account and your profile, comments, and messages will be removed from the Service; Stripe retains payment records as required for tax and accounting rules. You can also email us to request deletion.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. Stripe sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version here. Significant changes will be announced on the site or by email.
